php - Posting PHPBB Forum Thread/Post info in a website -

-

i trying extract, say, latest/most recent 5 threads in x section of forums , have 'posted' on website link viewers can go directly thread instead of having browse forum or not.

i've seen , read tutorials online but...in honesty, phpbb seems mess me.

all appreciated g.campos

if don't have access forum' db, might want try phpbb3 portal, such this one.

however, if have access mysql(?) db, might want give shot select sentence, such as:

select * phpbb_posts forum_id = x order post_time desc limit y";

change 'x' forum id want dump from, , 'y' post_time limit want stop dumping; having in mind facing strtotime times, such 1290886590.

then, execute query , fetch result (mysql_fetch_array) formatting on table or whatever want. play post_subject , other columns nice output. luck.

edit: have pretty extensive tutorial on phpbb page, here. give look.
