c# - Please help me choosing the language and framework for my undergraduate project -

i final year computer science student mumbai university, india.

the topic of our undergraduate project soa. under project supposed build 3 service components , 1 example website uses components. quite java , have no experience whatsoever c# or .net.

i having hard time deciding language , platform our project. can please suggest platform should go for?

please give me brief comparison between java/java ee , c#.net/asp.net in terms of complexity, ease of development, ease of deployment etc.

edit: original reason why put question is:-

we have final year project in group of three. both partners want project in c# , asp.net , want in java. since our project more of server side, java holds advantages cross platform on c#

also point:-

what if implement 2 parts in c#.net(which build) , 1 part in java(which build) , use them build sample website.

what level(kind) of difficulty accompany?

i quite java , have no experience whatsoever c# or .net.

well then, have particular desire extend knowledge c# , .net, or want concentrate solely on actual project.

people can make sorts of arguments c# vs java, in case pertinent facts c# better @ teaching new language, , java better @ not requiring learn new language.

edit: following edit question, mixing languages suggest possibility has added advantage of needing show how mix use of 2 different languages, might or might not useful in itself.

jquery - appear modal windows bottom -

c++ - Compiling static TagLib 1.6.3 libraries for Windows -

i having super hard time compiling , using taglib 1.6.3 in qt project. i've tried can think of. taglib claims supported through cmake i'm not having luck. furthermore, i'm confused kinds of files need qt libs! i've built *.a files, *.lib, , *.dll. understand far... believe since i'm working in windows *.lib want. no matter do, end "undefined references" taglib functions try use when try compile qt project. have tried mingw32, msys, visual studio 2008, , cross-compiling windows on linux. turning nothing. what makes less sense me if compile same taglib source qt on mac (g++ think?) works fine! somewhere in windows compilation procedures have going wrong. have been smacking face on desk 30 (on , off) hours trying figure out. since qt uses mingw must compile taglib same compiler? if compile *.lib's visual studio not compatible? are *.a libraries usable in windows?
